Our principle

Free PDF Lover is designed to minimise the collection and handling of your files. Whenever technically possible, document processing happens entirely in your browser, and your files are never sent to our servers.

Tools processed in the browser

Tools such as merge, split, rotate, extract pages and convert images to PDF work locally on your device. In those cases, the content of your files is not transmitted, does not pass through our servers and is never stored by us.

Tools processed on a server

Some tasks, such as conversions between Office formats and PDF and high-quality compression, require server processing. In those cases, the file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed in isolation and deleted immediately after the result is delivered. We keep no copies, we do not inspect the content and we do not use your documents for any other purpose.

We clearly indicate, on each tool, when processing happens on the server.

Browsing data, cookies and ads

We may use cookies and similar technologies to measure traffic and show ads. We work with advertising partners, such as Google AdSense, which may use cookies to personalise ads. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through our consent notice.

We collect aggregated, anonymous usage data, such as pages visited and device type, to improve the service. This data does not identify you personally.

Your rights

Under applicable law, including the LGPD and the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct and request deletion of your personal data, as well as to withdraw consent at any time. Since we do not keep your files, most requests relate to cookies and browsing data.
